Power producer in key industrial regions
Our core activities in the world’s fourth largest energy market are power generation and sales, and the import of natural gas to Europe via long-term supply contracts. Our generation business in Russia operates under the name Unipro.
Our portfolio consists of five efficient gas- and coal-fired power stations located in several key industrial regions: Central Russia, Ural, and Western Siberia. They provide about 5 percent of the country’s total energy needs.
We strongly condemn the war in Ukraine. We have therefore decided to restart the divestment process of Unipro and focus on further diversifying gas supplies. We will not enter into new long-term supply contracts for natural gas with Russia.
