Already today, Fortum and Uniper combined are the third largest producer of CO2-free energy in Europe. Together we are empowering the energy evolution. The development and expansion of our renewable production capacities is an essential element in our decarbonization path.
To reach this aim we plan to grow our onshore wind and solar capacity focusing on utility scale projects. Within the next years we want to realize a sizeable portfolio and to sell part of the developed projects. By 2025 we intend to build and own at least 1.5 - 2 gigawatt of new capacity.
Together, we have strong experience in solar and wind project development, engineering, procurement and construction, asset and operations management and commercialization.
Paired with our strong trading capabilities, we are able to deal with market based renewable assets.

Land Owners
We develop our solar and wind projects in close cooperation and dialogue with local stakeholders. We strongly believe that renewable energy can benefit the local society in many ways. This is the reason why we wish to engage in long standing partnerships with our local stakeholders.
Land owners can benefit from attractive lease agreements for land that has the potential for the development of solar or wind projects. This can be both land that allows for subsidy and land for market-based solar or wind farm development.
As a farmer, municipality or forest owner you can be part of the energy transition with your land. Jointly we contribute to climate protection.
Co-Development Partners
As co-development partner, you can benefit from our rich experience in the implementation of complex projects along the various development phases. We help to finance projects, reducing the risk for our partners. Moreover, based on our trading expertise, we can help secure offtake.
Additionally, we utilize our hydrogen and battery technology experience to develop integrated solutions.

Industrial, Commercial and Municipal Power Customers
We offer green power for your decarbonization and sustainability goals. We are able to customize according to your needs green power purchase agreements (PPAs) with different exposure levels to power price and volume dynamics, also regional PPAs with option of participation (utility scale) and certificates of origin.
